每個人對理想的家定義各有不同，一同成長生活的家人，對這命題也會有不同演繹。居住多年的老宅未曾修繕，有時會與家人閒談，暢想裝修後的模樣。我請父母和姊姊描述理想中的居所，加上自己的想法，將4人的構想作為指令，輸入人工智能生成影像，再用相片打印機打印成即影即有相片，偽裝成當下拍攝。另外，我亦用真正的即影即有相機和數碼相機，在家中拍攝客廳、廚房、洗手間和睡房，最後跟人工智能生成的即影即有相片混合展出，表達大數據和現實影像各自呈現的真實。作品透過與家人的對話，探索記憶跟影像的關係：真實指令生成虛擬影像，而所謂的虛擬，卻是現實中家人對家的想像。真實中的虛幻與虛幻中的真實，環環相扣。
The concept of an ideal home varies profoundly from person to person, even among family members who've shared the same spaces and experiences. From childhood to the present, my home has remained untouched by renovation, prompting conversations with my parents and sister about our visions of that elusive dream renovation. In this exploration, I sought to uncover each of our ideals by asking my family members to describe their ideal residences. I then synthesised these visions into a singular directive, inputting our collective thoughts into artificial intelligence to generate imagery. The resulting photographs, printed instantly, masquerade as spontaneous captures of the present moment. This work also explores the relationship between memory and images through conversations with family: virtual images generated by real commands, while the so-called virtual is indeed the family's association with home. The illusion in reality and the reality in illusion are interlinked.
